Twenty-one ounce felt
712 g/m² of polyester felt at 3.18 mm, against the sixteen ounce standard. Dense under the hand and soft on both faces.
The reverse is plain and unglazed, which is what sets the slip.
Dye-sublimation
The ink dyes the fibre rather than sitting on top of it. Nothing to feel under a record, nothing to lift, and the artwork lasts as long as the mat.

- Double-sided mats are pressed twice. Speckling can appear on the second face, most visibly in white and light areas. Dark or busy artwork hides it.
